1. Hop Along Bali and the Australian Coast
Start your journey in Asia’s metropolis city of Singapore. The city is known as a shopping mecca, so go ahead and shop ‘til you drop!
Next, head to Boat Quay, a collection of old wharf houses that serves as a bustling ethnic food destination. In that area, you can easily check out Singapore’s charming colonial district and its lush botanic gardens.
As you set sail you’ll come to Bali, Indonesia’s “Island of the Gods.” Surrounded by azure seas, there’s no shortage of swimming, water sports, cave exploring, and waterfall jumping for you to explore. For inland adventures, Bali has lots of attractions like temples, museums, and markets.
Making your way to Australia you’ll come upon Darwin, where you can hang with and feed hungry crocs. The real adventure comes when you hit Cairns and can take an unforgettable excursion to the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll wrap up your adventure in Sydney, for abundant shopping and dining options.
The real can’t-miss is the Sydney Opera House
2. Discover the “Last Continent”
You’ll begin and end your Antarctic escapade in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the “Paris of South America” and its colorful history. Be sure to check out the Plaza de Mayo, the city’s historic center, which includes the Metropolitan Cathedral.
You’ll set sail from Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina, the southernmost tip of South America — also referred to as “The End of the World.” You’ll cross the Drake Passage, where wildlife like dolphins, humpback whales, and orcas may accompany you on your journey to Antarctica.
While in Antarctica you’ll witness towering glaciers, immense icebergs, and once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounters. Take in the breathtaking snow-covered landscapes as you discover the world’s last wild frontier.
As you make your way back to Argentina, you’ll enjoy scenic sailing of Cape Horn, an area that has notoriously only been reserved for the most experienced sailors.
3. Cruise Through the Cyclades Islands
Just southeast of mainland Greece is some of the most beautiful islands in the world. Surrounding Delos — known as the birthplace of Apollo — are the Cyclades. This is a top destination to explore if you love island hopping, authentic culture, and sightseeing.
Kicking things off in Athens, you’ll be dropped into the historic beauty of one of the world’s oldest cities. Before you board your ship, you must see Acropolis, which sits at the city’s historic heart. Setting sail you’ll come to Mykonos, one of Greece’s most famous islands – explore amazing beaches and picturesque villages, and enjoy their chic lifestyle.
Next, you’ll make a stop in Ephesus, Turkey, which gives sight to the best-preserved ancient city in the Eastern Mediterranean. From there you’ll hit the islands Patmos and Rhodes before you come to Thira, which includes the spectacularly scenic Santorini.
Before you make your way back to Athens you’ll stop in Souda, Crete, known for its beautiful beaches and maritime history.
4. Make an Arctic Crossing
A cruise across the Arctic offers a rare opportunity to witness natural beauty and unique cultures that have withstood some of the most extreme environments on our planet.
Making your way west, you’ll start your sojourn in the beautiful Copenhagen, Denmark. Regarded as one of the happiest countries in the world, make sure you cruise through the city and bring home some of those good vibes with you!
As you stop off in Kristiansund, Norway, make sure you indulge in a delicious seafood lunch before you take to the sea again. You’ll spend a day in Akureyri, Iceland before you head to Reykjavik – take in the Norse lifestyle, lose yourself in the foodie culture, and shop for traditional hand-knitted Icelandic wool sweaters.
Don’t skip an excursion to the otherworldly Blue Lagoon.
Making your way through Greenland, gaze upon gleaming white fjords, looming icebergs, and sheep-dotted green fields. You’ll enjoy the brightly painted villages, especially in Qaqortoq, where you can visit one of the region’s largest villages, the “White Palace.”
5. Discover the Pharaohs and Pyramids in Egypt
Go back in time and explore one of the world’s most ancient civilizations. Egypt is brimming with history, antiquity, culture, and sightseeing. There’s never a dull moment as you make your way down the Nile River.
Begin your Egyptian exploration in Cairo, the country’s sprawling capital. The city is a treasure trove for museums and artifacts, delicious cuisine, and architectural marvels. Before you leave Cairo, be sure you make an outing to the Great Pyramid of Giza – the last standing structure of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.
As you traverse the Nile, you’ll stop off at Luxor, where you can explore the Valley of the Kings that features 65 tombs. Afterward, pick up a souvenir in Qena — which is famous for its pottery — before you set sail to Esna and Aswan. Aswan features the Philae temple, one of the last places ancient Egyptians worshipped the goddess Isis.
6. Set Sail Through the Panama Canal
Cruising through the Panama Canal is more than just a crossing from one body of water to the other. It’s an adventurous exploration of both the Pacific and Caribbean sides of the canal. This is a real opportunity to discover multiple cultures as you travel through one of the most historically significant sites for global trade.
You’ll start your adventure in Seattle, where you’ll set sail for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. While you’re there, be sure to schedule a fun catamaran ride, snorkeling session, or whale watching. Don’t forget to snap a picture of the famous “El Arco” rock structure!
After you arrive in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, head to the tranquil Spanish town of Antigua for a break from the hustle and bustle. Don’t miss out on zipline or canopy tours during your time in Costa Rica or the fascinatingly dark history of Cartagena, Columbia before you make your way to Miami.
7. Tour Southeast Asia
Take off from Singapore and arrive in Nha Trang, Vietnam, a bustling resort city that features lots of fun water activities, hot air ballooning, and an amusement park. As you pull into Sihanoukville, Cambodia, you’ll have the option to soak up the sun on their idyllic beaches. If you’re a nature lover, head to the Ream National Park or go explore the 5 main wats (Buddhist temples) in the area. If you want to travel further into town, check out the Psar Lu Market for clothing, souvenir shops, and much more.
